Responsiveness Fail

Responsiveness Fail

Apparently we’ve got responsiveness on the brain here at CRS Web Designs. Even on a Sunday. Want to see why it on matters? Look no further than CBS’s coverage of the Pat’s game. See anything wrong with this picture?

Responsiveness Fail

CBS’s logo is cut off in the top left corner. Unless we’re watching the BS channel!

It turns out responsiveness matters for television just as much as for web design. The analogy I’ll use is the standard 27 inch tube TV in most living rooms in the 80s. This made it easy for one size fits all programming.

Responsiveness fail - old tvs

Fast forward to today and there is no standard TV size. And, I’ll admit the reason CBS appears to be cut off on my TV is that I have basic Boston cable so I’m watching the game in standard definition rather than high def. (For shame, I know!) But both of those factors – CUDOWNA TV size and definition – rambu-rambu effect how I view the game.

The same is true for how users browse the web today. How your customers view your site will depend on their device and choice of browser. You don’t know if your customers are going to look you up on a tablet, phone or desktop, so you have to make sure your site can be viewed perfectly on all devices. The way to do that is to make sure your site is responsive. Das It is the Client, standard in Much web design here at CRS. If you’re still not clear on the importance of responsiveness or how to make your site responsive, drop us a line.
